Pre-trial debt recovery is sometimes difficult (e.g. when the debtor went into hiding) or even impossible (e.g. validity time of the debt guarantee/ bill expired).

Recovery through legal proceedings is a complicated, long and expensive enough debt recovery mode. Its advantage is that effective court decisions are executed unconditionally.  Besides that, interim protection measures can be imposed upon the debtor’s assets, i.e. seizure of the assets and ensuring repayment of the debt this way.
